Virtual Community in Service for Real Estate Industry

This paper proposes a project called “Choose your neighbor online” which has constructed an virtual community in order to strengthen the social networking relationship between people, especially between neighbors, and resist indifference in modern society. The digital community simulates the real states of online purchasing process and living of householders which are constructed by 3D network game engine. Customers who have registered in the community can play their roles and choose any entertainment or any interesting person they like to talk with. Meanwhile, advanced online house purchasing substitutes for the present tedious purchasing process which costs lots of human and material resources and then brings the real estate developer huge benefit. This is a totally innovative and meaningful mode of house selling. Following the user experience design method and user-centered interaction principle, this paper explains the whole process of system development and the application prospect of this interactive community.
