Quantization effects in sampling processes

This work presents some results related to the joint action of both quantization and sampling processes over a generic analog signal x(t). The mathematical approach is related to the deterministic theory of quantization processes developed by the authors in previous works. In particular it is possible to define specific effects related to the quantization error as the presence of peaks in its spectrum and how they change position and amplitude as the sampling process is superimposed to quantization. Moreover this research activity focuses its approach to the analysis of the sinusoidal signal effects, due to their interest to every electrical or electronic engineering application. At the same time it opens the way to a correct analysis of problems related to the evaluation of accuracy in measurements.
