Residential indoor RF channel characterization

The results of propagation measurements made at 915 MHz and 1900 MHz inside suburban homes are presented. Data on path attenuation, background noise, and the worst-case rms delay spread of the RF propagation are presented. Results are presented for path attenuation predicted by ray tracing techniques for line-of-sight (LOS) channels within the home. These new data aid designers of residential wireless communication systems.
