Bandwidth enhancement of semiconductor laser optical phase-lock loops by sideband locking

We demonstrate the sideband locking of single section DFB semiconductor lasers in heterodyne optical phase-lock loops, eliminating the loop bandwidth limitation imposed by the phase reversal of the frequency modulation response of the lasers.
