Complex filtering for generation of SSB and VSB signals

The FCC has mandated a period which ATSC and NTSC signals will be multicast. Transmission equipment that is suitable for both systems will provide the greatest degree of flexibility for the broadcaster. We hope that the original approach presented in this paper can permit to set a bridge for the gap between DSP techniques and the required flexibility.
