Practical Application and Selection of Single-Phase to Three-Phase Converters

Three-phase motors and electronic power supplies are used in commercial and industrial equipment for economy and efficiency. When three-phase power is not available from the utility, another source must be provided. Gasoline or diesel generators may be used, or the available single-phase utility power may be converted to three-phase power.
