Realtime tracking using active eye sensing system

The authors have developed a real-time tracking device called the active eye sensing system (AESS) which consists of a stereo camera. Each camera has two degrees-of-freedom that give a wide view of 3D space. Using the AESS, the authors extract a moving object from the scene, continue tracking, and give its position and velocity. A high speed correlation method is used to achieve real-time image processing.
