Antenna arrays on rectangular and triangular grids for polarization multiplexing - a comparative study

Rectangular and triangular arrangements of active antenna array elements are studied. The comparative performance assessment is based on the achievable side lobe level, the occurrence of grating lobes, the packing density of the active circuitry, and, in particular, the suitability for polarization multiplexing.
