Signaling architecture and protocols for the Next Generation Network

ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union, Telecommunication Standardization Sector) made remarkable achievement in international standardization of the Next Generation Network (NGN) during the last Study Period (2005∼2008). This paper gives a brief overview and functional architecture of ITU-T NGN, and presents signaling architecture and protocols for the ITU-T NGN.
