Eight Candidates Vie for Five SSCS AdCom Positions for 2008-2010

The IEEE SSCS Nominations Committee has announced a slate of eight candidates for the five available positions in the 2007 AdCom elections. Terri Fiez, Bill Bidermann, and Mehmet Soyuer are incumbents. Tohru Furuyama, Venu Gopinathan, Tadahiro Kuroda, Bram Nauta, and Jan Sevenhans are new candidates. Additional nominees may be added through a petition process that is described below. The AdCom is the governing body of the Solid-State Circuits Society. It oversees conferences, publications, educational efforts, chapters, finances and other areas relevant to the Society’s activities. Elected AdCom members serve three-year terms, which are staggered so there are always some experienced and some new members. The ballot is mailed to eligible voting members in the fall.
