Direct measurement of amplitude and phase temporal responses of ultrahigh-speed optical modulators

We demonstrate a direct measurement of the complex ultra-fast temporal response of optical modulators (with a bandwidth ∼40GHz in the reported example) enabling real-time characterization of instantaneous frequency chirp.
