Electronic system design automation: from product idea to gates

This paper describes Electronic System Design Automation (ESDA), an emerging technology with the potential to dramatically increase the productivity of electronic product design. The focus of ESDA is the behavior of an electronic system. The behavior may span integrated circuits, boards, and modules. It can incorporate the software, as well as the hardware, of a complete system.<>
