Survey of information services on traffic portals of Chinese urban cities

This paper investigates information service status quo of 72 urban traffic portals from ten urban cities that have carried out Intelligent Transportation Application Demonstration during the period of "10th Five-Year Plan", including website version, international level, utilization of information services, legitimacy of information services, communication and technology support etc. By statistical analysis, on one hand we can find out the capability and indicators of each portals, abstract statistical characteristics of the status of information services on traffic portals of Chinese urban city and analyze the formative causes of the status quo; on the other hand, by horizontal comparison, we can find the existent deficiencies and then offer the optimization recommendations for the traffic portals of Chinese urban city in allusion to these problems.
