University Library VOD System Based on Campus Network

Based on Video on Demand and video live broadcast system in the library of Wuhan University, this paper discusses the features, structure function of the VOD system which is based on campus network. It also analyses the bottleneck on network transportation, hard disk output and server performance of the streaming media in a VOD system. At last it studies the related issues of constructing VOD systems.
