Study on active suspension control of full-vehicle steering model of using DSP

In the paper, a full-vehicle steering model is built based on the active suspension dynamics in steering system. In order to improve riding comfort and driving stability, the optimal full vehicle control technology is studied both in time- and frequency- domain. Considering the yaw, roll, pitch, vertical vibration of vehicle body and the deflection of suspension, a norm evaluation index H∞ is defined. According to the human sensitivity frequency ranges for vibration, a proper frequency- domain weighted function is introduced. The H∞ optimal controller is designed and realized by TMS320F206 DSP. The simulation and experimental results show that this method can effectively reduce the vibrations of the vehicle body caused by steering and the road roughness. In the human sensitive frequency ranges, the amplitudes of vertical and rotational vibrations are considerably decreased. Also, the suspension deflections are restrained.
