Coordinated traffic management through data exchange

This paper will detail the evolution of the Datex II data exchange methodology and how its implementation will support the European Commission's objectives of coordinated traffic management measures and seamless, pan-European Traffic Information services. It will focus on how the UK Highways Agency is implementing Datex II in order to support a more integrated traffic management approach with Local Traffic Authorities that enables both parties to meet the challenges of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
