Continuation Power Flow Incorporating Dispersed Generation

This paper extends the continuation power flow method to negative load power injections, so as to compute load- ability limits for systems with dispersed generation. An illustrative case study to investigate the properties of extended PV curves and loadability surfaces is included. It is seen that resistive networks can accommodate larger generation power than lossless ones. Multiple branches of low-voltage solutions are identified.
