SPP transmission expansion planning for SPP and beyond

Southwest Power Pool (SPP), Inc. is unique in its position. SPP is a NERC reliability entity, the planning authority, and a FERC -approved regional transmission organization (RTO) with an approved expansion planning process that continues to evolve and expand with time. SPP also provides contract services to Entergy and e.ON/LGE Energy for planning and tariff administration functions, and also operates a reserve sharing group for its members and neighboring entities, including Associated Electric Cooperative (AECI) and Entergy, providing a very cost effective and valued solution to maintain operational reliability.
