Non-destructive detection of carbon in soot collection filters by using a 94 GHz source

In this paper, we demonstrate a non-destructive detection for the soot which adheres to a soot collection filter by using millimeter waves. We constructed a system that measures the millimeter-wave transmittance, which can be an indicator of the soot density.
