System-On-Packaging (SOP) with Electro-Absorption Duplexer (EAD) for 60 Ghz Band Radio-Over-Fiber Link

We developed an system-on-packaging (SOP) module with an electro-absorption duplexer (EAD) device for 60 GHz band radio-over-liber link (RoF). The design of the EAD device is described, and its performances such as optical and electrical characteristics and crosstalk are reported. The design issues of the SoP module with the EAD device were discussed and electrical-to-optical (E/O) response of the transmitter part of the SoP module is presented.
