Demonstration of an Optical Label Switch with an EA Modulator-cascaded Optical Serial-to-Parallel Converter

We demonstrate operation performance of an optical packet switch using an electroabsorption modulator-cascaded optical serial-to-parallel converter. We successfully achieved the switching operation with two-bit label recognition and less than 30 ns address processing latency.
