Spatio-Spectral Analysis and Encoding of Ultrashort Pulses with Higher-Order Statistical Moments

Spatio-spectral analysis of femtosecond laser pulses using higher order statistical moments is presented. Exploiting skewness and kurtosis parameters of local spectra, we obtain an effective data reduction and information transfer at discriminated lower moments.
