The Research on the Pricing System of Mobile Value-added Service for 3G

Lots of facts prove that the technique advantage does not mean the market advantage. Therefore we should pay more attention to the market strategies rather than the blind expansion on 3G network .To the moment that the 3G license will be issued in China soon, market strategy on 3G pricing system should be taken as one of important studies. Based on the theory of surplus value, this paper raises a settlement standard calculation model for operators and SP (service provider) to improve the pricing system of mobile value-added services. This paper is organized as follows, firstly, it defines the conception of mobile value-added service and the research area of the pricing system; secondly it analysis the existing pricing system, and illustrates one-part pricing system which takes content-based charging would greatly facilitate the development of value-added service in the age of 3G (3rd generation, international mobile telecommunications-2000); Finally it states settlement standard calculation model for operators and SP based on the theory of surplus value for implementing the pricing system of one-part pricing system which takes content-based charging.
