Single Crystal Growth of KNbO3 at Low Temperature

Plate-like single crystals of KNbO3 were grown from a layered perovskite precursor, K2NbO3F, at 890°C. The K2NbO3F single crystals with plate-like morphology were synthesized at 790°C as a template precursor. At over 800°C, K and F components were eliminated from the precursor K2NbO3F and plate-like KNbO3 single crystals were formed.
