Submerged objects detecting by nonlinear optical process of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in water

A scheme is presented for submerged objects detecting by stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS). The backward signal depends on the location of the object, which rises up from zero to saturation with focusing geometry varying. The delay time of echo signal gives the location of detected object.
