A Simplified Design-Procedure for Fixed-Time Life Tests Based on Kullback-Leibler Information

A design procedure for the fixed-number life test was developed based on Kullback-Leibler information. This process is extended to a fixed-time life test for a constant failure rate. The optimum fixed-time is also discussed from the economic viewpoint.
