Effect of High Pressure Hydrogen on Crystal Structural Transformation of FePt Nanoparticles at Low Temperature

This article investigates the effects of high pressure hydrogen treatment on the crystal structure transformations of Fe₄₉Pt₅₁ nanoparticles at low temperatures. L1₀ FePt nanoparticles were subjected to a 10 MPa hydrogen treatment at 400 degC for 4 hours following a high pressure hydrogen annealing. High pressure hydrogen treatment resulted to ordering peaks and peak shifts in the FePt XRD pattern indicating a structural change in the nanoparticles.
