6E-5 High Frequency Surface Waves Scattered in Microstructured Phononic Crystals

Using an ultrafast optical technique, broadband surface acoustic wave packets are tracked on 1D and 2D phononic crystals in two dimensions in real time at frequencies up to ~1 GHz.
