Direct measurement of short high power microwave pulses

The power heads with resistive sensor (RS) made from low specific resistance n-Si are designed and investigated. They are used to measure high power microwave pulses, which duration lies in the range of 5-200 ns. Using DC pulse supply for RS feed the output signal of the order of a few tens of volts is obtained without any amplification. Maximum peak pulse power detected by designed power head is practically limited by the waveguide's breakdown.
