Estimation and Performance Investigation on SLF Interrupting Ability of Puffer-Type Gas Circuit Breaker

Investigation of short line fault interrupting limits was conducted, making use of Mayr's equation considering the characteristic values of breaker, shunt capacitance and time delay of short line fault condition. The investigation led to a proposed effective method for estimating the interrupting ability of gas circuit breakers.
