Effects of Pooling Weather Associated Mapp Bulk Transmission Outage Data on Calculated Forced Outage Rates

The pooling of bulk transmission system outage data has been a topic of recent interest. However, before analysis of pooled data should take place, there is a need to assess the effects of various parameters on the performance of the bulk transmission system. Identification of the dominant parameters which are generic to any geographic, region is an important step in understanding the effects of pooling outage data on the calculated indices.
