A Magnetically Combined Turbine and Generator

The feasibility is examined of incorporating the blades of a propellor turbine into the rotor magnetic circuit of a salient pole synchronous machine, such as to give one simple combined rotor which may be inserted into a stator. Design approaches, equations and test results are given, and output power evaluated.
