A Fast Convergence Self-Adaptive Bit Allocation Algorithm for OFDM Systems

Adaptive technology is proposed to enhance the capability for OFDM systems. Dichotomy combining the Lagrange-multiplier method is the optimal bit allocation algorithm to estimate the value of lambda. That algorithm has a good convergence in general, but it becomes very low when the target lambda is far from the center of the estimating interval of lambda. This paper presents a fast convergence self-adaptive bit allocation algorithm based on Lagrange-multiplier method for OFDM Systems.
