Explicit circuit models of multi-dimensional piecewise-linear networks

A simple circuit realization of the absolute-value function which gives the possibility of direct modelling of any multi-dimensional piecewise-linear (PWL) function is proposed. Its applications to the two-dimensional PWL voltage functions including the corresponding circuit models are presented. Finally some of the PWL two-port circuit models, i.e admittance, impedance, hybrid (series-parallel), cascade, and voltage-scattering are shown.<>
