Study on the Cage Net Crack Detection Facility of Sea Cage

To the problems on the cage net crack detectability, a new cage net crack detecting method and detecting system is designed. This facility, comprised of single-chip microcomputer, cage net crack detecting circuit, switch matrix and cellular phone mold piece, could detect the situation of cage net crack in muddy water area with lower power consume and low cost. The net slice could become a cage net crack sensor by weaving lead and nylon into it. The system divides cage net into many net slices, and codes each one. As soon as one of the net slices is cracked, the loop between the damaged position, sea water, and the sea electrode are formed and then let the system send short message to users by cellphone module, included the cracked sea cage's serial number and the information of crack part. When the conjunction breakdown between the system and the net slices occurs, it could let the system send short message to users, including the sea cage's serial number and the information of break part. Compared to traditional methods, this detection system is novel, so awarded two national invention patents.
