Investigation on Performance of Passive Optical Network Based on OCDMA

In this paper, a passive optical network (PON) based on optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) is presented, and analyzed in detail. The proposed system can be applied to an optical access network with full services on demand, such as internet protocol, video on demand, telepresence and high quality audio. An OCDMA-PON combines advantages of PON and OCDMA technology. Simulation result elicits the proposed scheme is feasible.
