The stabilizability of structurally fixed modes and nonstructurally fixed modes by time-varying feedback

The decentralized structure of a large-scale control system imposes constraints on the feed-back pattern; this may lead to fixed modes and structurally fixed modes. In this paper it is discussed which fixed modes may be eliminated by means of decentralized time-varying feedback strategies.
