Iterative LMI Approach to RFDO for Uncertain Time-Delay Systems with Nonlinear Perturbations

The design of robust fault detection observers for uncertain time-delay systems with nonlinear perturbations is considered in this paper. By using the H_infin norm and H_- index optimization techniques and the LMI approach, a sufficient condition is proposed for the design of RFDO. This design enhances the fault detection and attenuates the effects due to unknown inputs and nonlinear perturbations. Iterative LMI algorithms are given. We also study the RFDO design problem over finite frequency range in which case no full column rank constraint is required on D for a system (A,B,C,D). An illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method
