BER Performance Comparison between FHPB/MC-CDMA and MC-CDMA under Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels

Frequency hopping partially blocked multicarrier code division multiple accesses (FHPB/MC-CDMA) system is proposed in this paper and the system compares BER performance of MC-CDMA system under multi-path Rayleigh fading channels. FHPB/MC-CDMA may be considered as a novel modulation scheme and multiple access technique for next generation wireless communications which is more reliable and flexible than conventional MC-CDMA system. By using frequency hopping (FH) technique, the system becomes more robust against probability of interception (PI) and achieves combating ability against jamming. Moreover, proposed system successfully minimizes the multiple access interference (MAI) by separating users' data symbols block wise. Proposed FHPB/MC-CDMA system shows outstanding performance than MC-CDMA by reducing intra-cell interference as well as user code interference. Another important achievement of the FHPB/MC-CDMA system is the spreading code reusing capabilities in the same cell user at same time. Simulation results show that, proposed system saves 7dB power for same spreading factor and allocates more than 20 users at the same BER condition
