Nickel-cadmium battery recycling through the INMETCO/sup R/ high temperature metals recovery process

INMETCO, a subsidiary of Inco Limited, is the only facility in North America that provides the high temperature metals recovery (HTMR) process for nickel-cadmium secondary batteries. In 1993, INMETCO recycled more than 2,200 tons of nickel-cadmium, nickel-iron and nickel metal hydride batteries.
