Trellis assisted block synchronisation

A new essentially "intrinsic" synchronisation technique is introduced. Bit, symbol and block synchronisations obtained directly from the received signals, and timing intervals are derived from the output soft maximum likelihood trellis decoder which also performs error correction of the received data.<>
