The minimum number of live minimal structural traps to make an arbitrary minimal structural deadlock live in general Petri nets

A property about a general Petri net N = (S,T,F,M/sub o/) is proven. When an arbitrary minimal structural deadlock (or MSDL N/sub D/) contains some minimal structural traps (or MSTRs), this MSDL is live under the initial marking M/sub o/ with a single exception that is if at least one MSTR is live under M/sub o/, provided that (I) every other MSDL except one N/sub D/ in N is live under M/sub o/ and (II) the above MSDL N/sub D/ has no live behavioral traps.<>
