Optimal adaptive control using the delta operator: a case study

An optimal adaptive controller is derived within the delta operator formulation and applied to a flexible transmission system which is configured with some representative difficulties. Particular emphasis is put on the tracking capability, the offset-free performance and the adaptation alertness with respect to inertia change.<>
