Mechanism of charge formation in the irradiated polyethylene

Summary form only given, as follows. Using the acoustic wave method, the electric charge distribution in polyethylene was studied. A correlation was established between the charge accumulation and a portion of the crosslinking of the irradiated polyethylene. A mechanism of electric charge accumulation in connection with the molecular structure of polyethylene and different polymers is discussed.<>
