H(curl) elements on hexahedral and vector A.B.C.'s for unbounded microwave problems

In this paper we present a 3D Engquist-Majda type Absorbing Boundary Conditions version that can preserve the symmetry of the finite element matrix. This vector ABC's is coupled with the vector wave equation. The formulation obtained uses conforming finite elements in H(curl) on hexahedral elements. The accuracy of this alternative vector ABC's is evaluated with the radiation from an infinitesimal current dipole.<>
