A new generation of acoustic profiling currentmeters

The accurate determination of ocean currents has wide application, particularly in today's environmentally conscious world. This paper describes the background studies and development efforts directed towards building a low cost, high precision current profiler. A new generation of acoustic current profilers (ACP) is presently under development by the EDO Corporation, USA, teamed with MORS Environment Group, France.<>
