Stability of the convex hull of commuting matrices

It is well known that the convex hull of m symmetric matrices is stable if and only if the generating matrices are stable. This result is extended for a convex hull generated by commuting matrices and is compared with a previous result of the convex hull generated by normal matrices.<>
