Enabling OSI CMISE via a standard management API

The development of an industry-standard application programming interface (API) which provides access to the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Common Management Information Service Elements (CMISE) is described. The management API solution that has been defined by X/Open and the results of an API experimental prototype effort are presented.<>
