The analysis of transient Doppler frequency shift from microcavitation

By transmitting a probing wave (29.4 MHz) toward a microbubble, a transient Doppler frequency shift is observed by estimating the transient frequency of the backscattered signal. An analytical solution is obtained by modeling the scatterer as a quasi-static sphere. The model is used to explain the experimental data. By using Prony's method or eigenanalysis, the frequency shift of the probing wave is clearly shown. The time and frequency correspondence for bubble growth and collapse indicate an acceptable match.<>
