A new approach to power distribution system transient analysis using Walsh functions

The authors propose the use of Walsh functions for analysis of systems with nonlinear loads in electric power distribution systems. A circuit analysis technique based upon a component connection model is developed for use with Walsh functions. Several illustrative examples are presented. Analytical results are compared with those obtained using the circuit analysis program SPICE.<>
